A long strange trip to Royal’s biggest ships

It may be as unlikely a journey as anyone at Royal Caribbean has taken in becoming a key player for the cruiseline. For starters, Program Manager Denise Key-Tielebein is a native of Wisconsin in middle America far from any saltwater. She served in military intelligence and earned a degree in computer-assisted engineering and design. Before joining RCL, she had never been on a cruise but now manages projects as boggling as ships in Royal’s Oasis-class, the world’s largest.

“Everything I do culminates in a big ship,” she says.
