Royal Caribbean Group has earned new industry honors for digital experiences that make vacations easier to plan and enjoy.
From helping parents keep tabs on their children while giving them more freedom onboard to letting guests find, book, and manage a cruise from a smartphone, two of the Group’s latest digital experiences – Royal Caribbean’s Find My Kid and Cruise Tickets In-App – earned six honors across the 2026 w3 Awards and 2026 Travel Weekly Magellan Awards.
The w3 Awards recognize outstanding websites, apps, and other digital experiences, with winners selected by professionals from across the creative and technology industries. The Travel Weekly Magellan Awards honor outstanding design, marketing, and services across the travel industry, with entries evaluated by a panel of travel professionals.
Find My Kid led the w3 honors with two gold awards and one silver, while Cruise Tickets In-App earned silver. Both features also won Gold at the 2026 Travel Weekly Magellan Awards in the Cruise Lines – Marketing Mobile App category.
The honors build on Royal Caribbean Group’s broader record of innovation across all three brands. These new offerings include Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class and Perfect Day CocoCay, Celebrity Cruises’ upcoming river fleet, and Silversea’s The Cormorant at 55 South.
They also point to a bigger story: how Royal Caribbean Group is using technology across its brands to give guests more freedom, convenience, and control throughout their vacation.
For families sailing with Royal Caribbean, Find My Kid offers an easy way to check a child’s location onboard in real time. The feature pairs a waterproof WOW Band with the Royal Caribbean app to show a child’s location on a detailed ship map.
First piloted on Icon of the Seas, the feature is now available on Star of the Seas and Legend of the Seas, with plans to expand to additional ships. Since launching on Star in 2025, it has achieved a 73% average enrollment rate among eligible families, showing how quickly the feature has resonated with families.
Cruise Tickets In-App brings another part of the vacation directly to guests’ smartphones. Available in the Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises apps, the experience allows guests to browse sailings, reserve a cruise, and manage their plans without leaving the app. It has become an important booking channel for both brands as more guests choose to plan and purchase their cruise on their smartphones.
“Our apps put more of the vacation in guests’ hands, whether they are booking their trip or checking a child’s location onboard,” said Heather Bishop, vice president, Digital Product, Royal Caribbean Group. “The credit goes to the teams behind them. They have made powerful technology simple for our guests to use.”
Royal Caribbean Group’s digital innovation extends beyond these guest-facing experiences. The Group’s Digital Insights team also received UserTesting’s 2026 illumi Digital Innovator Award for using guest feedback to shape apps that are more useful throughout the vacation.
Together, the honors show how Royal Caribbean Group is extending its innovation leadership to more moments across the vacation.
