In January 2024, Royal Caribbean International celebrated a momentous occasion with the inaugural sailing of the highly anticipated Icon of the Seas from Miami. This groundbreaking vessel not only set a new standard of vacation innovation within the cruise industry but revolutionized the company’s position as a leader in the travel industry overall.

Seven years in the making, Icon of the Seas is a sprawling engineering marvel, breaking numerous records with its onboard attractions, food scene, entertainment, and staterooms. Among its outstanding offerings, it is home to seven pools – one for every day of the week, six adrenaline-amping waterslides, and the biggest ice arena ever.

Royal Caribbean Group President and CEO, Jason Liberty, emphasized the significance of Icon of the Seas in the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering the best vacations responsibly. “It is the start of a new era of vacations, and we’re excited to see tens of millions of families and friends make their mark with memories they create together and on their own adventures without compromise.”
